These cookies are easy to make and I often do them together with young children. Actually this week, week I included them in our family's pre-Xmas holiday baking session and all the kids loved them!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
175 g soft margarine
225 g sugar
2 eggs
350g self raising flour
½ tsp salt - optional
100 g chocolate chips or chopped semi-sweet dark chocolate
Preparation Method
Preheat oven to 180 C. Lightly grease 3 – 4 baking trays or cover them with baking paper.
Place margarine, sugar, eggs, flour and salt into a bowl and mix thoroughly until a smooth biscuit dough is formed. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
Place large spoonful's of the mixture, well apart on the baking trays and flatten slightly with a spoon. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and just firm to the touch.
Cool on baking racks.
